Crocheted items. I can make baby clothes, blankets, toques, scarves, stuffed animals, and I am open to custom orders!

Where’s home, and what do you like about it

I am located in Hinton. I love it here. There is so much to do and see. I grew up in a small town in Ontario, so it’s nice to be back in a small town again. I love that almost anywhere you go you can see the beautiful mountains. It’s amazing to be able to take a drive and stop and find a place to take a walk or hike. The rainbows here are amazing too!

What’s your origin story? How did you get started with this work?

My mom has crocheted for as long as I can remember. I had dresses for birthdays when I was a kid that she made. A couple of years ago she came out to visit and I asked her to show me how to crochet. I have been doing it ever since.

What pushes and/or inspires you to be creative?

I think the most exciting thing about my work is that I like researching and finding new things to make. I like having to problem solve and I get super excited when I find different patterns to make.

Since having my daughter, I have also found it difficult to find items that are made in Canada and that are made using natural products. So that has been a big inspiration for me. I wanted to make products for my daughter that were made with Pure Fabrics and Pure Love. This translated into wanting to offer this to others! My products have shifted into using natural fibres and I have been using Canadian wool Yarn and stuffing.

Seeing and hearing people receive their handmade item is pretty inspiring as well ❤️
