What do you make

Hand embroidered cards for all occasions!

Is this a part time or full time pursuit

Part time

Where’s home, and what do you like about it

Jasper Alberta! I first moved here when I was 17, and have been returning for the following 7 years!I love my friends here, the mountain biking and where I work! Jasper has always been such an instrumental base for my travel and international living.

What’s your origin story? How did you get started with this work?

I started embroidery during the first lockdown in March 2020! I grew up doing things like cross stitch ect. I was always creative in some form or another.

I was staying with my mother in March after moving home from Europe and she gifted me with all the threads and fabric to get me going! It started as a hobby during all the days inside and as something to pass my time.

I grew to love it and started making things for my friends, who then supported me to start a lil' business

What pushes and/or inspires you to be creative?

I am a stand up comedian and improvisor, not having an outlet for those activities in Jasper has pushed me to find other ways to be creative, and as I continued working on the hoops I found my love of embroidering cards!

Since then I have slowly tapered my work into strictly cards. I love flowers, and I find something so special about giving someone a card handmade with love.

I also love mixing watercolour paint with embroidery to offer a 3d effect to the cards!

How can people purchase your work?

People can purchase through Instagram! I am currently taking orders through my DM's.

People should also know that when they are purchasing through me, 80% of the money is donated to an organisation of my choice. The money is put into a pot until it reaches 200-300$ then donated. The organisations suit addiction counselling, womens shelters and reparations for BIPOC

Make it stand out.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
